Top Ukrainian Anti-Terror Official Exposed as FSB “Mole”: Details of High-Profile Arrest
Ukraine’s SBU security service arrested Dmitry Kozyura, chief of staff of the country’s anti-terror center, on suspicion of spying for Russia.
Recruited in 2018, he allegedly passed data on weapons, infrastructure, and shelling results since late 2024.
After his recruitment, he was a “sleeper agent” for some time, but became active in late December 2024. To communicate with the Russians, he used a safe house in Kiev, having also received a special phone with a SIM card and a WiFi router. In this way, he transmitted data containing, among other things, state secrets.
The SBU, aware of his actions, fed him disinformation while limiting his access to critical information.
The head of SBU "Vasyl Malyuk reported directly to... Volodymyr Zelenskyy about all stages of the special operation," it added.
Kozyura now faces life imprisonment with property confiscation.
