Did the Warriors find a loophole with the Kristaps Porzingis situation? Very interesting thought from @Sam_Vecenie:

The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the discussions.
Porziņģis, who has been away from the team since late September, signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Warriors last summer that has just $3 million in guaranteed money for next season. Yet the Warriors’ stance is that Porziņģis, who has long battled medical issues that kept him off the floor, has not been excused by the team during this extended absence.
Based on his salary, Porziņģis is losing approximately $218,000 per game.
Amid one of the more bizarre situations in recent NBA memory, Golden State plans to trade him to a team seeking salary-cap relief in exchange for a serviceable center, according to the league sources.

In an interview with 95.7 The Game last February, Kerr said Hawks president of basketball operations Onsi Saleh told him that Porziņģis was not dealing with POTS. Kerr later apologized, calling it a
“stupid mistake” to comment on something he wasn’t qualified to speak about.
