Inter mantain Curtis Jones as priority target since May and now feel deal could happen with Liverpool at €35m fee.

There’s still no green light to new bid until Davide Frattesi’s exit but Inter definitely will try again for Curtis before the window ends.

Liverpool’s original asking price was €40m. Now they have slightly lowered their asking price. The feeling amongst those close to the deal is that Jones could leave for around €35m. Inter will be making an offer soon. Frattesi has to leave Inter who is wanted by Lazio.

Expect Inter to try again for Jones soon.

Liverpool could add TWO wingers to the squad, especially if Cody Gakpo end up joining Tottenham.

Barcola deal remain on as talks are ongoing with PSG, #LFC open to adding one more winger.

Ibrahima Mbaye on list but currently too expensive.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi responds to rumours surrounding Bradley Barcola:

“We’re working calmly, we don’t talk too much, we do. I can’t say whether he will leave or not.

Today, he is a PSG player. We’ll see!”

Nasser Al-Khelaifi asked about Liverpool not wanting to pay that much:

“We’ll see… The discussion is part of the negotiation.”

Yan Diomande reportedly rejected #LFC in fear of walking into a season of transition at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp wanted players who were prepared to 'push the train, not jump on the running train'.

Perhaps the Ivorian was never the right fit.

Bradley Barcola is planned by Liverpool for the left wing. #LFC remain in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to reach an agreement until Deadline Day. LFC are confident. 0 minutes against Aston Villa tonight.

Should Barcola join, 17 y/o super-talent Rio Ngumoha is expected to be used predominantly on the right wing.

Here we go

In late 2017, Virgil van Dijk placed an important call to Steven Gerrard.

The much-sought-after central defender was deliberating over a career-defining decision as clubs competed to secure his signature from Southampton.

That race was, of course, ultimately won by Liverpool, with Van Dijk sealing a transfer to the Reds on New Year’s Day 2018.

Van Dijk’s desire to achieve such accomplishments at Anfield rather than anywhere else was, it has now been revealed, enhanced by a chat with Gerrard before his arrival.

Steven Gerrard:

“He phoned me at the time actually. I knew his agent really well. It was City, Liverpool.

“He said to me, ‘I haven’t phoned you to sort of push me one way or the other, because I know which way you’re going to push me. But just tell me a little bit about Liverpool?’

“I just said to him, ‘Look, if it’s about what the clubs stand for and what the clubs are about, you’re wasting your time because I think you already know the answer to that.’

“It was an interesting conversation and I was so happy that he chose us.”

Virgil responded:

Of course I [remember it].

“Obviously yourself and Hendo [Jordan Henderson] were very important for me, together with Jürgen [Klopp]. For me to speak to you, it was already massive.

“That feeling of, like, I wanted to play for this club so badly, it was so intense.

“And the fans embraced me from day one. Scoring also against Everton [on his debut] helped massively too!”

[🟢] INFO: Inter are now ready to approach Liverpool again for Curtis Jones. It won’t be an instantaneous process, not tomorrow morning, not tonight. It will take a little more patience, with Inter realistically expected to go back to Liverpool from next week onwards.

I repeat, the feeling is that €35m could be enough to get the deal over the line. Liverpool are unlikely to offer any further significant discounts,

For his part, Jones continues to tell his agents that, at least as of today, he does not want to consider any other options. As long as Inter remain there and continue making offers, Curtis Jones is not listening to other clubs.

The way Thiago talks about Liverpool :

"It's a worker city. People always ask me about Liverpool: why the crowd, why the people are the way that they are with the team, and I say, 'It's not about winning or losing; it's about giving your all.

It's the only big team that I've seen that doesn't act cocky as a big team. It acts like it has to work for everything.

What I experienced in Liverpool that day, after losing the Champions League Final against Madrid, that was unmatched!

We were lost, and we were all sad and hopeless, and suddenly we had that exchange of energy. It was unbelievable."
