Just in: Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski has agreed to a five-year, $110 million fully guaranteed rookie-scale contract extension, agent Bill Duffy of WME Basketball tells ESPN. The deal includes a mutual option in the fifth year (2031-32) and a trade kicker.
The Warriors and Podziemski valued reaching a long-term deal that secured him as a foundational piece and provided flexibility for the team's salary space next summer. The 23-year-old combo guard has improved scoring in each season, averaging a career high 13.8 points last year as one of 18 players to play all 82 games, while ranking top-3 in charges drawn his entire career.
