Medicals passed

Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow are set to be confirmed as Manchester United players on Friday, after both passed medicals with the club and agreed personal terms, per Sky Sports.

United make a full return to pre-season training next week.

Ederson is still undergoing a thorough medical.

Bruno Fernandes has broken his silence following Portugal's exit from the World Cup and expressed his frustration following the defeat to Spain.

Nicky Butt has urged Manchester United to sign Sander Berge from Fulham. Butt has been impressed with the midfielder, who has starred for Norway in the World Cup.

In a recent interview with Paddy Power, Butt said: "Sander Berge has been brilliant for Norway. There’s always someone at a World Cup that stands out. He’s one of the ones that has really stood out and makes you go, 'Wow, what a player he is.'

"But some people are different players for their country, he didn’t stand out that much for me at Fulham. In the last few games, with his athleticism and his size he’s a powerhouse, a really good player.

"But I just don’t see Man United buying another midfielder now. They can’t unless they’ve got more money than we think."

Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur reports that Manchester United have identified Danilo as a midfield option, with the former Nottingham Forest man viewed as a back‑up should they miss out on their priority targets.

Man United make debt admission over new stahim plan

Manchester United are confident that a new 100,000-seater stahim will help deliver enough revenue to build a successful football team, even if it means piling more debt onto a club that already owes £1.3billion.

The club moved a step closer to seeing a new super stahim become a reality on Thursday, when it was revealed that the ground will be built on land 350 metres away from the current site as part of a regeneration of the wider area.

But questions remain over how a project initially estimated at costing £2bn will be funded, with some form of debt now seen as a certainty. Collette Roche, CEO of the new stahim development at United, cautioned supporters against becoming "over-obsessed" with debt and claimed the stahim would eventually pay for itself.

According to United in Focus, Manchester United want to win the race to sign Wolves starlet Mateus Mane.

The outlet has claimed following an interview with Ekrem Konur that United will be in the race for the 18-year-old.

The Holland international is said to be the club's number one target for the left wing position.

Ederson deal close

Manchester United are seemingly close to completing a deal for Ederson.

United reached an agreement worth £38.8million for the Atalanta star earlier in the summer, but there has been a delay to the move being confirmed after he was named in the Brazil squad for the World Cup.

Now, journalist Ross Harwood has stated that Ederson has now completed his second medical to become a United player.

Bruno Fernandes takes action

Away from transfers, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has turned off the comments on a recent social media post following a barrage of abuse online.

The 31-year-old was part of the Portugal squad at the World Cup until their elimination at the hands of Spain in the last-16.

Fernandes took to social media to send a message to Portugal fans following the country’s exit from the World Cup, making his disappointment clear.

Darlow's a shrewd addition

He may not be well liked in Leeds once he joins United but from the Reds' perspective, Darlow is a shrewd move. The 35-year-old was a regular for Leeds in the second half of the season and the Yorkshire club wanted to keep him. He is a stronger option than Bayindir as a back-up to Lammens and fills a homegrown spot for next season. All this for free too. Plenty of ticks and very little down side for the Reds.
