Manchester United have secured the majority of the land to build a new 100,000-seater stahim. United had been in talks with Freightliner to acquire land behind the Stretford End, but talks had stalled, leading the club to look at alternative options for land around the current stahim

United have now announced they have struck a deal for a different plot of land located approximately 350m north-west of the current stahim. It's a 25-acre triangle, approximately 350m from Old Trafford (located between Wharfside Way, Europa Way and John Gilbert Way).

The land has been purchased from Indurent, a leading provider of industrial space and a Blackstone portfolio company. United now have the majority of the land needed for their project and will continue to work on acquiring the remaining land, which is not expected to be a problem.

Manchester United have pulled out of the EFL Trophy and the National League Cup for this season as they look to offer more first-team training opportunities and focus on individual development for their best young players.

With United returning to the UEFA Youth League (for Under-19s) after securing a return to the Champions League, it was felt that the games programme for their Professional Development Phase (PDP) group was becoming too bloated.

United could have entered Premier League 2, the UEFA Youth League, the Premier League International Cup, EFL Trophy and National League Cup this season, as well as the U-18 Premier League and the FA Youth Cup.


Ugarte latest

Manchester United are prepared to accept a loss on Manuel Ugarte in order to sell him this summer, according to The Sun. The Reds signed the 25-year-old in a £51.7million deal from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024, as they tried to strengthen in midfield.

However, it's safe to say it hasn't worked out for Ugarte at Old Trafford, and United want to sell him this summer and improve in that position ahead of their return to the Champions League.[sosad]


Real open to selling Tchouameni

According to La TV dello sport, Real Madrid are open to selling Manchester United target Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.

Although Tchouameni would prefer to stay, United have already expressed strong interest to his agents if he becomes available.

Manchester United have added Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi to a list of potential attacking reinforcements, according to reports.

However, Club Brugge chairman Bart Verhaeghe and his colleagues are not planning to cooperate with a transfer this summer, with Tresoldi's contract running until June 2029.
