Manchester United are yet to make any decision over who will be the club’s manager come the summer, reports Amie Wilson.

Michael Carrick was appointed on an interim basis until the end of the season, with the form of the team leading to calls for the appointment to be made permanent.

Of his 10 games in charge, United have won seven, drawn two and lost just one. Those results have seen the side climb up to third place in the Premier League table and put themselves in the driving seat for Champions League qualification.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes due to his valuable Premier League experience, leadership skills, and a potential price tag of around £60.8million.

This fee is reported to be one United deem affordable this summer, although it has not been stated at what point, if at all, the Reds could make an offer to Newcastle to try to sign their star midfielder.

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Eduardo Camavinga.

Claims by Football Insider suggest the Reds are seriously considering a move, with Madrid potentially willing to listen to offers in excess of £43million. However, it is claimed that no final decision has been made on his future.

United are looking to sign at least one central midfielder this summer, with Casemiro set to depart Old Trafford at the end of his contract.

United are reportedly monitoring Tottenham Hotspur star Archie Gray. Sports Boom claim that if Spurs are relegated, United will attempt to sign the young midfielder for a cut-price fee.

Tottenham currently sit 17th in the Premier League - just a point clear of the bottom three. But Gray has been a rare bright spot in the Spurs team, and that could see interest from Old Trafford this summer.

But he needs to find the team. He needs to find, I would say, the identity of a club to be able to play every week because he has even lost his main position at the national team."

Manchester United officials have advised players who have been given time off later this week not to travel to Dubai as the conflict in the Middle East continues.

Those players not involved in international duty are training at Carrington early this week, but have been given time off later in the week and over the weekend and have been told they can go abroad.

But the squad are regularly advised on what they can and can't do during breaks, and although some will be going abroad, they have been advised not to travel to Dubai, a popular holiday hotspot for footballers and usually offering direct flights from Manchester and guaranteed sunshine.

Manchester United make decision on wonderkid JJ Gabriel ahead of the summer

Man United are planning to include talented youngster JJ Gabriel in their pre-season tour squad this summer. United are keen to show Gabriel there is a pathway to the first-team, and taking him on tour would be another show of faith in his huge potential.

Gabriel has scored 21 goals in 23 appearances for the Under-18s this season. He has already trained with the first-team on several occasions, and Michael Carrick described him as a "big talent."

As recognition of Gabriel's talent, it's understood the teenager is expected to form part of United's tour squad, which will include more academy products than usual due to the World Cup.

United are set to tour Europe this summer, with talks ongoing to finalise a schedule that includes visits to Scandinavia and other parts of Europe.

The forward is said to have rediscovered his form and confidence since moving to Saudi Arabia, and his valuation is reportedly around €60million (£52m).

Manchester United have held a long‑term interest in Davies and have now been handed a boost, with Bayern reportedly open to listening to offers.

German journalist Christian Falk told Bayern insider: “It is true: Manchester United are interested in Alphonso Davies. They were at the table when questions were being asked as to whether he would sign a new contract at Bayern Munich.

“They’re still monitoring this player, but he’s, of course, since signed a new contract at the Allianz Arena, so it will be difficult to get him at the moment. But there are also discussions going on at the club as to whether they need a new backup player, given all the injuries Davies keeps picking up. Before, they thought they didn’t need a player on the left-hand side because Hiroki Itō can play there as well.

“However, if there were an offer on the table (and don’t forget it cost Bayern a lot of money to extend Davies), there would be a discussion. But I can say right now that there has yet to be a concrete offer from Manchester United. If there’s an offer, perhaps Bayern will consider it, as the injuries keep coming."

Training camp, friendly decision, momentum - What Manchester United will do with 24-day break

Man United are considering a training camp away from Carrington once their international players return, as they weigh up how to use the 24-day break between games.

United have more than three weeks without a fixture between their 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on the south coast on Friday night and their Old Trafford date with Leeds on Monday, April 13. A small group of non-international players are training at Carrington at the start of the week, before being given a break later this week and told they can go on holiday.

The full group will then return towards the end of next week, once the international players return to Carrington, but they will still likely have at least a 10 or 11-day lead-in to the game against Leeds. It is understood United haven't currently arranged any behind-closed-doors games to keep players sharp, but the possibility of a short training camp hasn't been ruled out.
